The single, “Facing a Miracle”, performed by Il Quinto and Taylor Dayne, reached the Top 10 in 7 European countries by end 2010. ‎It has also reached the # 9 position in the Top 100 Single CDs for 2010 on the world’s biggest online store for dance music: Perfectbeat.com! The song outsold releases by Lady Gaga, Pet Shop Boys and a host of other mega stars! All proceeds from this song is donated to the German Aids Foundation.

Il Quinto’s new album include duets with international stars such as Paul Potts (UK), Hannah Holgersson (Sweden), Udo Mechels (Belgium’s X-factor Winner) and Taylor Dayne (USA). The album consists of original, new composi- tions, written by award winning international songwriters.

Il Quinto will be on a concert tour to Thailand during April 2012, performing in Chiang Mai (Northern Thailand) and at the Naklarin Theatre in Bangkok. Other international tours are also scheduled for 2012.

Emmanuel Castis, our latest fundi, is a professional actor for 10 years. He started out in musical theatre - Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show, the Prince in Cinders and Her Fella. This was followed by a number of stage roles in plays Macbeth. Musical shows over the years include Frankly Speaking, Bachelor Boy, Let the Good Times Roll, Doowah Boys, and Grease. Emmanuel played the much loved character Steve in the popular daily drama Isidingo, Brent in One Way and Uri in Snitch and Chris in the very popular SABC 2 drama Erfsondes.

Not only the winner of Strictly Come Dancing, he is also a talented musician whos debut album South of Nowhere is a mix of adult contemporary and jazz.

   My definition of happiness is being surrounded by people you love, and who love you in return.

   I am worthy of being loved, and I deserve all the good things the Universe gives me.
3. We all need someone to believe in us. Who is that person for you and why?
   That is an interesting question, because we all asssume that it should be someone else in the world who we need to believe in us, but in my mind the most important person one needs to believe in them, is oneself! If you don’t believe in yourself, people can pick that up and in turn will respond the same way towards you.

Now That I've got your attention...

This year I have decided to take on a challenge completely out of the ordinary … I have decided to join a group of crazy enthusiastic cyclists and ride the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge on 21 November dressed as a cow! (No funny jokes)

The Cows 2010 Stampede is aiming to have more than 300 cyclists dressed in cow suits riding the cycle challenge in a quest to raise more than R4 million for CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation).

This is the third year that The Cows are riding and the project this year is the upgrade and renovation of the Pediatric Oncology Ward at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

CHOC is the Childhood Cancer Foundation which plays a key role in providing care for children diagnosed with cancer across South Africa. It is a country wide organization that provides the highest level of care required to treat childhood cancer in keeping with the latest developments world-wide. The pediatric oncology wards at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital provide hundreds of children from across South Africa with treatment for cancer. While some patients receive daily treatment through their outpatient ward, many remain in the wards for the duration of their treatment. The wards are in desperate need of upgrade to provide the level of care these children deserve.
